Kathleen Carey joined GE Real Estate in 1996 and initially oversaw the disposition of over $230MM in real estate assets on behalf of third party clients of GE Capital Investment Advisors (“GECIA”), the pension advisory business within GE Real Estate.
In 1997, Kathleen joined the Six Sigma team at Real Estate as a Black Belt and then a Master Black Belt. Following her MBB experience, she returned to GECIA as President, where she was responsible for the oversight of a $2B portfolio of equity real estate investments for third party clients of GECIA.
In October of 2000, Kathleen was promoted to Six Sigma Quality Leader for GE Real Estate. She serves on the Senior Leadership Team of GE Real Estate, reporting to Ron Pressman, its President.
Kathleen holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany and a JD degree from St. John’s University School of Law. Prior to joining GE, she practiced law; most recently as a partner in the commercial real estate group of the Stamford-based law firm, Cummings & Lockwood. Kathleen is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut and California. Kathleen and her husband Charles live in Westport, CT with their two sons, Chas and Sean.
