Ron Pressman

President & CEO

Ronald R. Pressman is President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Real Estate, one of the world’s largest and most diversified commercial real estate finance and investment firms, with a presence in 31 countries and a portfolio with more than $72 billion in assets.

A 27-year GE veteran, Mr. Pressman most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Asset Management, a global investment business with approximately $197 billion in assets under management. In this role he was responsible for the management of more than 200 institutional client accounts, GE's primary U.S. pension plan, the GE Savings and Security 401(k) plan and a variety of GE-affiliated insurance accounts. Mr. Pressman also led the firm's management, distribution and servicing efforts for an array of mutual funds serving several hundred thousand individual investors' needs.

Mr. Pressman serves as a member of the GE Corporate Executive Council and is a Director of GE Capital Services Inc. and GE Capital Corporation Boards. He was elected an Officer of GE in 1993 and Senior Vice President in July 2000.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Pressman held a variety of roles within GE from Wall Street to global business leadership roles in Europe and in the U.S. He was President and CEO of GE Insurance, and Chairman, President and CEO of GE Insurance Solutions, one of the world's largest reinsurance and insurance organizations from 2000 to 2006. From 1997 to 2000 he was President and CEO of GE Capital Real Estate, and prior to that he led several business units for GE Energy in the U.S., including the Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine Generator and Hydro businesses and was CEO of GE Energy Europe for three years, during which GE purchased its current Oil & Gas business unit in Italy. He also spent three years helping GE re-enter the Central and Eastern European markets, serving as General Manager of these regions for GE International. He began his career with GE in 1980.

Mr. Pressman has also been involved in many civic and educationally oriented activities in his communities. He currently is Chairman of the National Board of A Better Chance and Director of Pathways to College. While located in Kansas City, Mr. Pressman was Vice Chairman and Director of the Board of Directors of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Vice Chairman and Director of the Kansas City Civic Council. He also chaired the Mayor of Kansas City's Union Station Task Force, developing a plan to continue the revitalization of that regional landmark. He served as a member of the Hamilton College Board of Trustees and Chaired Roots and Wings, a UK-based mentoring program, during his time in London. Mr. Pressman is a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.
